The leaders of Guignard Company encourage education and active participation in trade and community associations. We work to share what we learn and to give back to the communities where we work and live.
We are proud to support the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) Greater Orlando Chapter and the organization’s Construction Career Camp. Kelly Phelan, one of our valued Account Executives, previously served as President of the NAWIC Greater Orlando Chapter and as co-chair of the camp, which is open to high school-aged girls with the aim of developing self-confidence and learning basic construction skills.
In 2023, under Kelly’s pivotal leadership, the NAWIC Construction Career Camp empowered teens to build benches that could be converted into picnic tables. These benches/tables were donated to Camp Boggy Creek, which provides life-changing camp experiences for children with serious medical conditions at zero cost.
On September 19, 2025, Kelly joined community leaders, students and supporters for a special ribbon cutting ceremony where the beautifully crafted benches were unveiled. The student-built benches are now proudly in place at the new archery pavilion at Camp Boggy Creek, a testament to the young women’s hard work and the spirit of collaboration that has been fostered throughout the camp.
