Great leadership is the foundation of any successful project, and at Guignard, we are proud to see our team leading the way for the entire industry. That’s why we are thrilled to announce that Mariel Coleman, our Director of Business Development, has been officially elected to the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) – Central Florida Chapter Board of Directors for 2026.

Mariel’s election is a testament to her years of tireless dedication to the construction community. Having been an active member and volunteer with ABC for eight years, she currently serves as the Chair of the Special Events Committee, where she has played a pivotal role in fostering industry connections. In her new role on the Board, she will help guide the chapter’s strategic initiatives and advocacy efforts, ensuring the Central Florida construction market remains competitive, ethical, and vibrant. Her deep understanding of the challenges facing today’s contractors makes her an invaluable asset to the chapter’s leadership team.
ABC Central Florida serves as the leading voice for the region’s merit shop industry, supporting a diverse membership of general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers. By advancing a free-enterprise philosophy, the association provides essential resources that drive the industry forward—from training the next generation of builders through workforce development to strengthening local business ties via high-impact networking. Additionally, its commitment to legislative advocacy ensures the industry’s voice remains influential at both the local and national levels, protecting the interests of those who build our communities.

Mariel is eager to hit the ground running, focusing on a “members working with members” mindset to maximize the association’s impact. As she recently noted, “I believe in the power of shared goals and political involvement to strengthen our industry. I look forward to being a persistent resource and advocate for our members.”
Please join us in congratulating Mariel on this incredible achievement! We look forward to seeing the positive impact her leadership will have on the Central Florida construction landscape in the coming year and beyond.
