There is nothing quite like a little friendly competition to bring a community together, especially when that competition involves secret recipes, slow-cooked chili, and a whole lot of spice.
That’s what happened at the annual Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) – Central Florida Chapter Chili Cook-Off at the beautiful HorsePower Ranch on December 4th, and we are thrilled to announce that our team made a good chili!
We are incredibly proud of our very own Account Executive, Allyson Wing, and her husband, Bobby Wing. The duo represented Guignard in the kitchen, serving up a chili that clearly left an impression on the panel. Out of a crowded field of talented competitors, Allyson and Bobby took home the Spiciest Chili Award and secured 3rd Place in the Judges’ Choice Award.
The day’s success wasn’t limited to the cooking booths. Our Director of Business Development, Mariel Coleman, played a pivotal role in making the entire afternoon a success. Serving as the ABC Central Florida Special Events Committee Chair, Mariel led her ABC team in producing a seamless, high-energy event. On top of her behind-the-scenes leadership, she also took center stage as one of the emcees.
The ABC Central Florida Chili Cook-Off is always a highlight of our year. It offers members a unique, festive environment to network, build relationships, and enjoy some of the best chili in the region. Whether competing for Spiciest Chili, Judge’s Best, People’s Choice, or Best Booth, the spirit of camaraderie is what truly makes this event special.
